6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine
The available 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine has a 36,000-psi fuel-injection system. It also features forged-steel pistons, which make 475 hp at 2,600 rpm and available 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,600 rpm. Finally, the engine features an electric-actuated variable-geometry turbocharger that improves throttle response.

7.3L OHV PFI Gas V8
Design a gas-powered V8 built for strenuous duty, hauling heavy loads, with commercial-grade durability and performance, and you get the available port fuel-injected 7.3L. This V8 optimizes low-end torque, and the variable-cam timing helps to optimize high-output power. And for the durability also required, the 7.3L features a cast-iron block with four-bolt and cross-bolted main bearings plus a forged-steel crankshaft. Want the largest, most powerful gas V8 in its class, rated at 430 hp and 485 lb.-ft. of torque,* in a heavy-duty pickup? Look no further.

6.8L 2V DEVCT NA PFI Gas V8
The 6.8L gas V8 offers 405 horsepower and 445 lb.-ft. of torque.* It's engineered to deliver peak torque at lower RPM and generates high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. And the 6.8L is teamed up with the powerfully built TorqShift®-G 10-speed automatic transmission.
TorqShift® 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmissions offer enhanced low and midrange and three overdrive gears for optimum towing power and performance. You also get to choose from five selectable modes - Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco and Deep Sand/Snow. Super Duty® models with the available Tremor® Off-Road Package have an additional Rock Crawl mode.
Diesel Engine Exhaust Braking
The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel engine incorporates a driver-activated engine exhaust brake that restricts the turbocharger's exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle. In turn, providing greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced. Three settings are available: On, Off and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.
